2008 Mackinac Trip

This summer we vacationed on Mackinac Island. We stayted at the Harbor View Inn. We brought our mountain bikes and explored the interior of the island. We saw Fort Holmes for the first time. We rode the length of Scott's Cave Road, State Road, and then smaller trails to a cave near the airport. We rode by several cemetaries where we happened upon a most thought-provoking headstone. We enjoyed our annual lunch at the Fort Mackinac Tea Room. Mostly, we enjoyed a peaceful week away from rush of city life. We capped off our trip with a cherry picking trip down US-31.
